It has been shown in many empirical, scientific studies that fasting can improve health. It can also help to eliminate a variety of diseases and conditions as cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, colitis, psoriasis, lupus and some other autoimmune disorders when combined with a healthy diet.

Fasting can also detoxify cells and rejuvenate organs. It also gives a most welcome break to your digestive system, a system that probably has never had a break since you were born. And this break can have very substantial benefits to your health!

And of course, if your body is feeling good, your mind will feel great! It is one of the best things you can do for your mind and health. And when combined with meditation - you will be flying high and good!

Granted, the first few days of a fast can feel uncomfortable, but once you get used to it after day 3, you will begin to thoroughly enjoy it.

So I asked a dear friend of mine called Sapna what she would recommend as a fasting recipe (I asked Sapna because she knows a lot about these kinds of things - in fact she is brilliant!). This is what she said:

I suggest the master cleanse. Recipe is easy. Make a 4lt jug of this mixture: 4lt water, 8 lemons, 4tbsp maple syrup, pinch of cayenne pepper. Drink this mix for 6 days, NO FOOD, only herbal teas. The mix will suffice, don’t worry. Let me know what u think…

So, give that a go and let us know what you think! :)

Create and enjoy a great day,

David

You are describing the master cleanse … which has been know to be not the healthiest way to fast.

I did a 13 day juice fast a few years ago supervised by a nauropath and I got excellent results and it was a healthier type of cleanse.
